THE WOODEN CONNECTIONS

    The wooden connections, is a project dedicated to the marimba with the stated intention of breaking the barriers between genres. At the base of the experiment, which is developed specially for the occasion of the International Festival "Time Zones", there is the idea to rework some scores of great contemporary musicians. Subsequent work has seen then subjected to contemporary scores timbral sound, improvisation techniques and interpretations among the most varied and daring. Hence the wonderful musical development of Jacaranda Ensemble has been enriched by diverse individuality and gave birth to a continuous laboratory of ideas and suggestions, which animates and directs the research project through fantastic music. The convergence of the experience and skills of the individual components, gives rise to a group so versatile, it can no place in a kind prefigured.
